Parental controls
Content filters, an internet bedtime, daily time limits and the settings password.
Parental controls on a Windows PC: an overview
NetSecWall's parental controls combine four tools behind one settings password: a website category filter, an internet bedtime, a daily time limit and always-blocked apps.
Set up parental controls on a child's PC, step by step
Set a settings password first, then open Protection ▸ Parental controls…, switch protection on, pick website categories, add a bedtime or daily limit if you want, and click Save.
Set an internet bedtime (curfew)
In Protection ▸ Parental controls…, tick Block all internet during these hours, set From and until (overnight is fine), pick the days and click Save. The internet goes off at that time.
Set a daily internet time limit
In Protection ▸ Parental controls…, set the Daily internet time limit in minutes and click Save. Time counts only while the PC is online; at the limit, the internet is off until midnight.
Lock NetSecWall with a settings password
Open Protection ▸ Settings password…, type a password twice and click Save. Settings, protection changes, parental controls, the Rules tab, quitting and allowing new apps then need it.
