Turn analytics off, and export or delete your data
Analytics are off unless you turned them on. Help ▸ Privacy & telemetry… switches them off, shows what is held for your install ID, and erases it. Your traffic history only ever lives on your PC.
NetSecWall for Android: what it does and how it works (beta)
A free beta DNS firewall for Android 7.0 and newer. It blocks ad, tracker and malware domains on the phone itself, with no root and no account. It isn't on Google Play yet.
Blocklists, overrides and DNS settings on Android
Turn lists on in the Blocklist tab and tap Update enabled to download them. Add overrides to always allow or block a domain, and set the resolver, DNS-over-HTTPS and block response in Settings.
See which domains each app looks up
Open the DNS tab to see every domain each program looked up, how many times, and when it first and last did. Encrypted DNS inside a browser is the one common case it can't see.
How to uninstall NetSecWall (and keep or remove your data)
Uninstall NetSecWall from Settings ▸ Apps. It always removes the service and its firewall rules, then asks whether to delete your settings, history and downloaded lists too.
Check app hashes with VirusTotal and your own IOC list
NetSecWall fingerprints each program that goes online (SHA-256) and checks it against your own list of known-bad hashes and, with your VirusTotal API key, VirusTotal. Only the hash is sent.
Exactly what NetSecWall sends over the internet
Your traffic history, DNS log and rules never leave the PC. NetSecWall contacts netsecwall.com for its license check, its reference lists and update checks; everything else is opt-in or on click.
Your data and your privacy: what NetSecWall keeps and sends
Your traffic history, DNS log and rules stay on your PC. NetSecWall sends a license check, downloads its lists and checks for updates; analytics are off unless you turn them on.
